Spider-Gwen

Spider-Gwen is from an alternate universe where the spider bit her instead of Peter Parker, who instead became the Lizard. On the run most of the time, she has to deal with both being a superhero and a band member, often working very late into the night. She originally met Miles in Into the Spider-Verse and came to assist him with the Collider situation.

Spider-Gwen is a unique combo of a dancer fighter and the Marvel VS Capcom 2 version of Spider-Man. Spider-Gwen utilizes a flashy physical style combined with a halting projectile that can be charged to deal more damage as well as utilize her webbing to travel across the screen faster. Her moves give her various different options as part of follow-ups. Her defense game is not great and her damage output isn't too great without her high speed.

Moveset
Web Ball
Spider-Gwen fires off two webbing projectiles from her hands that deal 4 damage each for a total of 4 damage. When both hit, the opponent is wrapped in webbing and cannot move. Depending on how long you hold the button, you can add a medium modifier (+2 damage) or hard modifier (+4 damage) which also keeps the opponent wrapped in webbing for longer. Spider Sting
Spider-Gwen slams her fist up into the air, acting as a Shoryuken motion dealing 6 damage. The Spider Sting launches foes up into the air. Press the attack button again to slam your opponent into the ground for 4 additional damage in a move known as the Spider Bite. The Spider Bite knocks foes down.
Web Twirl
Spider-Gwen shoots a webbing string that can be influenced by the control stick, giving Spider-Gwen either an more extreme swing or a softer swing that covers less distance and is slower. Tap the standard attack button to perform a twirl that deals 7 damage and throws opponents to the opposite side of Spider-Gwen. She automatically swings in the other direction when pressing the special attack button unless you tilt the control stick while still on the web swing. Spider-Legs
Spider-Gwen performs a leaping kick that has her jump back, dealing 6 damage. Press the standard attack button to have her perform a twirl, dealing 5 damage to airborne opponents. When she lands, she can twirl again during the ending lag to keep foes away from her by pressing the standard attack button or immediately go into Web Ball by pressing the special attack button.
Finishers
Ghost Spider
Level 1
Spider-Gwen performs a leaping invincible dash, slamming both feet forwards to deal 15 damage. The kick launches opponents far and if they land on the ground, they go into a Out of Body knockdown.
Maximum Spider
Level 2
Spider-Gwen jumps back and then vaults forward and performs several flying kicks through her opponent, ensnaring them in a series of webs. Spider-Gwen then finishes the Finisher with one final, powerful foot-stomp to send the opponent crashing down, dealing a total of 30 damage.
The Mary Janes
Level 3
Gwen's band, The Mary Janes, plays passively in the background. Gwen can collect notes to regain 5 health, increase her defense against either standard or special attacks, or deal 5 damage to opponents. The Mary Janes are out for a very long time, playing a total of 30 notes and Spider-Gwen has to be near them to collect the notes. Each note has it's own color- healing is green, defense is purple, harm is red.
