Wario

Wario is the strongest, richest, and handsomest man in the entire Mario universe- what do you mean you don't believe that? You must have your display on widescreen! It's so self evident! Anyhow, Wario got summoned through magical forces that looked like a beam of light to the chaotic world of Black Hole, which is full of treasure! Wario loves treasure, he must have all of the riches that the multiverse pulled together before that dastardly Captain Syrup gets her sticky hands on it- or for that manner, any other pirates, thieves, and other treasure hunters get to it!

Wario loves treasure, so be sure to get all of the treasure you can so he can do powerful wishes to beat the socks off everyone. In addition, Wario is immortal and can't be effected in the same way other characters might be, with a lot of effects actually transforming him into different forms. Wario is fairly straightforward beyond these two mechanics, having a shoulder charge that knocks around foes, being a powerful stomper, and is able to throw bombs and turn himself into a spring by using a hammer wielding robot. His Finishers, aside from the last one, are all power-ups that let him do more damage and have other utility.

Gimmick: Gold

You hear me?! The cash is mine! It's mine. Mine! WARIO'S!

Wario is always on the hunt for treasure, gold, money, whatever! If it's valuable, he wants it! He can pocket things using his special guard and a special grab move will allow him to literally shake his opponents up and down, draining money from them to collect for himself. Additionally, when he KOs opponents, he'll pocket some money from their death. However, when he gets killed, he'll lose half of his money. His cash can be spent for a Level 4 Finisher that allows him to spend it for wishing power using a Genie, allowing him to do a variety of special Finishing moves.
Gimmick: Immortal

I ain't normal! And I don't mean that I'm stupid! I can do aaalllll kinds o' stuff that normal humans can't, you know what I mean? How 'bout that? Amazing, huh?

Wario doesn't react to effects in Blight Bastions like a normal character. What happens instead is that Wario can go into different forms, taking on some new sort of damaging property or movement property. These also prevent him from taking real damage. Most effects have their own way to reverse it although Wario can usually get himself Wet or wait for the effect to expire to get rid of it. Wario can still take damage from most attacks, although damage through effects will not happen with Wario, instead opting for one of these new transformations.

Bubble Wario

Crazy Wario

He has three of these jumps before he returns to normal. He cannot jump easily and has maxed out knockback resistance. Flaming Wario is the form Wario takes on when he falls under the effect of Burn, which will see Wario being set aflame and running uncontrollably, turning around when near edges, before slowing down as he becomes fully engulfed in flame. The flame dash will inflict 7 damage on contact, while the burning Wario will deal 17 damage on contact and inflict Burn. Getting wet will knock Wario out of this form, but it only lasts 5 seconds anyway. Flat Wario is the form Wario takes on when he falls under the effect of Flat. Flat Wario will only be able to do a microjump but he has a smaller hitbox and can glide gracefully while in the air. Getting wet or being attacked with wind moves will knock Wario out of this form.

Invisible Wario

Puffy Wario

Wario will deal 13 damage on collison with opponents, knocking them far back. Invisible Wario is the form Wario takes on when he falls under the effect of Radiation or Irradiate, which will see Wario becoming invisible and immune to enemy attacks for 6 seconds. He can still attack although his attacks will deal 0.5x less damage, effectively halving his effective damage. Getting wet will reverse the transformation. Puffy Wario is the form Wario takes on when he falls under the effect of Astral or Solar. Puffy Wario will be able to slowly ascend upwards, although he can expel this transformation by blowing out wind from his lips, inflicting 15 wind damage to opponents and blowing them back when he turns back to normal. Getting hurt will also turn Wario back to normal and expel the wind early without player control.

Snowman Wario

Spring Wario

Ball o' String Wario

Snowman Wario will be covered in snow and will have short jumps that create icy shockwaves that deal 6 water damage to nearby opponents and when near a ramp, he'll roll down and deal 17 damage to opponents he rolls into before stopping at a wall or being attacked. Additionally, if Wario's hurt or is attacked by fire, he'll return to normal. Spring Wario is the form Wario takes on when he falls under the effect of Shoe-Glue which will see Wario becoming coil-like and bouncing super high, inflicting 15 damage and high knockback when he jumps, although he'll be unable to attack. If he gets wet, hurt, or after five jumps he'll return to normal. Ball o' String Wario is the form Wario takes on when he falls under the effect of Tangled. Ball O' String Wario will roll around while being hard to control, inflicting 15 damage as he bounces around on contact with opponents. He can bounce off walls, ceilings, and floors and has super armor. He'll only unravel after 5 seconds or if wet.

Vampire Wario

Zombie Wario

Sleeping Wario

His jumps will be replaced with him transforming into a bat, who can flutter and jump indefinetly and he deals 9 damage to opponents he makes contact with. He will get out of this form if attacked by light elemental attacks or gets wet. Zombie Wario is the form Wario takes on when he falls under the effect of Absorber which will see Wario becoming a zombie, who cannot jump but will deal 11 damage on contact with foes and can also fall through soft platforms. He also is incredibly slow and this effect is reversed by either getting attacked by light elemental attacks or getting wet. Sleeping Wario is the form Wario takes on when he falls under the effect of Sleep. Sleeping Wario will dream about varying things, such as treasure which inflicts 10 damage or garlic, which inflicts 5 damage and inflicts the Salted effect on a opponent. If Sleeping Wario is hurt or is doused with water or a light elemental attack, he'll wake up. Depending on how long he was asleep, he'll recover 1-13 hit points.
Moveset
Wario Bomb
Wario throws a bomb, which will have a fuse of 2.5 seconds before going off, exploding for 15-8 damage to nearby opponents and destroying objects. Wario can hold down to throw the bomb farther, which will cause it to immediately explode if it makes contact with a opponent, although if Wario holds down for too long (3.5 seconds) it'll explode on him and deal 11 damage to himself (8 damage to nearby opponents). Barge
Wario's famed Barge move, which rapidly moves Wario forward while he lunges forward with his shoulder and arm out, giving him super armor and inflicting 8 damage with high knockback to opponents as well as stunning them. The shoulder tackle gives Wario a burst of speed and he can jump while performing it. Holding it down will let Wario continue to perform the shoulder dash, although he'll loose super armor during building up of speed.
Hammer-Bot
Wario has a Hammer-Bot squish him into the ground, turning him into Spring Wario. The Hammer-Bot can also attack opponents with their hammer, dealing 13 damage as they slam the opponents into the ground, Burying them as a result. It takes two hits with a physical attack to knock them off screen, although they can be vanquished with falling attacks or projectiles. Smash Stomp
Wario slams the ground with his butt, dealing 6 damage with shockwaves. Wario, if he performs this in the air, will deal more damage to opponents that are underneath him, dealing 14 damage to them and inflicting Buried on them. He can also destroy some objects with this attack and will have super armor if he does this in the air. It also makes him have no end lag if it is immediately used to chain into another attack.
Shake It!
Wario has a special grab that allows him to shake his foes for cash, causing 10-Coins to appear from them, with up to 10 appearing from a single grab. While shaking a opponent, Wario won't be able to deal damage until the final shake which transistions into a throw and due to the extended grab, opponents with little damage can escape easily. However, opponents with lots of damage will find it hard to escape. Tilting the control stick in any direction will allow Wario to perform this kind of special grab. Klepto-Wario
/
When Wario guards near a opponent, if he is close enough he'll reach his hand out to frisk their wallet or other money holding objects and pull money out from there. He can drain opponents who have money as a core mechanic or steal simple gold coins/rupees/dollars/other currency from them depending on what universe they come from and add to his his treasure total which he can use for Genie. However, if he gets caught by a opponent who acts fast enough when Wario performs this stealing animation, he'll be open to attack.
Finishers

Bull Wario
Level 1
Wario uses a Bull Pot to transform himself into Bull Wario. Bull Wario attacks using his horns during Barge which enhances it's damage output to 15 damage per hit as well as inflicting Break on opponents on impact. Bull Wario can also stick himself to the underside of platforms and generally gains 1.5x knockback resistance. Bull Wario lasts until Wario takes 30 damage while in the form. There is no set timer for how long Wario can be in his Bull Wario form.

Dragon Wario
Level 2
Wario uses a Dragon Pot to transform himself into Dragon Wario. Dragon Wario utilizes a flamethrower attack instead of a Barge, inflicting fire damage through a burning jet of flame right in front of Wario, which inflicts Burn and 8-1 damage every 10 frames of contact depending on the strength of the flame. Holding down too long will weaken and overheat the flamethrower, causing it to be very weak. His knockback resistance climbs to 1.6x and he'll additionally power many of his other attacks by a strength boost of 1.3x. Dragon Wario lasts until Wario takes 45 damage while in the form. There is no set timer for how long Wario can be in his Dragon Wario form.

King Dragon Wario
Level 3
Wario holds up an Eagle Statue and a Dragon Crystal, laughing maniacally as he transforms into King Dragon Wario. King Dragon Wario spits out a fireball attack instead of a flame thrower, able to shoot 5 of these slow but deadly fireballs that fly horizontally across the screen, inflicting an explosive 20 damage when they hit a opponent and inflict Burn on hit. Additionally, Wario can fly if he holds down on the jump button, able to jet himself across for 5 second while in the air at a perfectly horizontal direction before falling, although this resets whenever the player holds off on the jump button and then presses down on it again. Wario's Smash Stomp also deals 3x as much damage. His knockback resistance climbs to 1.7x and he gains a strength boost of 1.6x to all his other attacks. King Dragon Wario lasts until Wario takes 55 damage while in the form. There is no set timer for how long Wario can be in his King Dragon Wario form.

Genie
Level 4
Wario rubs the Genie's lamp from Super Mario Land 3: Wario Land, summoning the Genie from the end of that game to grant him a wish. Each of his wishes are different depending on how much cash he has on hand, allowing him to perform more powerful wishes with more money. This is very similar to characters like Walter White and Saul Goodman.
  • Waluigi (0 - 1,000 gold coins) - "I wish to team up with my good partner in crime, Waluigi!"
Wario summons Waluigi to his side, who acts as a troop with 50 health and attacks using his feet to kick at opponents to deal 8 damage and Bury them. He also uses his tennis racket to swat foes away, dealing 11 damage and inflicting high knockback towards Wario. Opponents will also be stunned with Waluigi's attack, allowing Wario to inact moves on them easily. Waluigi also likes to "air swim" towards opponents if there are none nearby, otherwise he'll leap strangely towards them and perform one of his two attacks. After 15 seconds if Waluigi is not defeated, him and Wario sign off to each other as Waluigi jumps off the stage.
  • Wario Bike (1,001 - 3,000 gold coins) - "I wish for a cool motorcycle!"
Wario summons his motorcycle, the Wario Bike, which is primary vehicle in the WarioWare series. He steps on the gas pedal and proceeds to go from one edge of the stage to the other, ramming opponents in his way for 30 damage and inflicting Bury on all of them. The bike has invincibility and while Wario is riding on it, he takes 0.7x of the damage he would normally take from attacks, as well as superarmor. After driving his motorcycle, Wario hops off it and can use it as a throwable item, dealing 15 damage to opponents he throws it at.
  • Wario Car (3,001 - 6,000 gold coins) - "I wish for a sports car that'll attract tons of attention!"
Wario summons his car, the Wario Car, which has been Wario's main ride since Wario Land 4. He drives it forward much like the Wario Bike, dealing 45 damage to opponents in his way and Flattening any jerks in his way. Wario's car can also jump and can be turned around by the player, allowing it to be on the field much longer and attack opponents multiple times at the cost of no edge protection, meaning that Wario will drive off a ledge with no way out if he does that. Lasts for a maximum of 10 seconds if the player manually drives it.
  • Wario Man (6,001 - 9,000 gold coins) - "I wish for superpowers, like those Spider-Guys!"
Wario becomes Wario-Man, his garlic powered super form from the WarioWare series, who has enhanced 2x speed, a more powerful Barge and Smash Stomp that deals 25 damage and wild knockback on hit, and can fly like King Dragon Wario. This transformation lasts a total of 15 seconds before Wario returns to normal. He also can't flinch from attacks or take effects. Additionally, Wario-Man deals space elemental damage on all of his attacks, allowing for him to do bonus damage using the game's elemental system.
  • Wario Apparation (9,001 - 9,999+ gold coins) - "I wish for fun! Wario fun!"
Wario's eyes go white and he proceeds to teleport one random opponent into a strange hallway, where they proceed to look around and come across a shimmering wall where a giant head of Wario emerges, looking down at the opponent before chasing them down the hall, violently shaking the screen as he gets closer. The opponent will then be caught by Wario and the screen goes black as a sound effect of Wario chomping down on them plays, instantly killing the opponent as Wario returns to the stage as normal.
