Dr. Bunsen and Beaker

Dr. Bunsen Honeydew and his assistant Beaker make up Muppet Labs, a site of scientific enquiry, technological breakthroughs, and sundry explosions. Originally, Dr. Bunsen worked on his lonesome while his inventions backfired on him, but has been working with Beaker for 45 years (Muppets don't age like you or I) strong. While working on a experiment, Dr. Bunsen and Beaker were teleported to Black Hole, a chaotic mash of different dimensions. Dr. Bunsen is eager to make new discoveries- his assistant less so.

Dr. Bunsen Honeydew is the primary fighter, while Beaker cowers around him during his attacks. Dr. Bunsen utilizes Beaker as a shield and can clone him using his Level 1 Finisher, Copying Machine, allowing him to utilize his assistant as a electric trap, bomb, or even as a ladder/ledge extender. Dr. Bunsen also has his own inventions that he uses that don't require his assistant, like his Magentic Carrots, Germ Enlarger, and Gorilla Detector. Unlike a lot of other projectile based characters, Dr. Bunsen's attacks are kind of chaotic and sometimes lead to unpredictable results, as the external source of chaos is a desired effect but can sometimes be difficult to set up correctly.

Gimmick: Muppet Labs

Dr. Bunsen utilizes Beaker (and up to five clones of him) for his moves, able to turn his fellow assistant into a Muppet shield during his guard animation or turn him into a electric trap via Electric Nosewarmer, his guard special. When Beaker takes too much damage, he explodes via nanites in his bloodstream, which can deal terrible damage to Dr. Bunsen unless he dodge rolls just in time. Additionally, Dr. Bunsen can use him as a ladder or ledge extension/tether for his recovery move Elevator Shoes. If Dr. Bunsen runs out of Beakers, he'll have to build up enough meter to get them back or he won't be able to guard correctly or use a recovery move, severely weakening him.
Moveset
Germ Enlarger
Bunsen appears to zap the air, only to reveal a large germ that floats over to opponents, dealing 2-3 damage per second as it latches onto opponents. The more damage the opponent has accumulated, the harder it is to escape away from it. After the germ deattaches, it inflicts Absorber. Magnetic Carrots
Bunsen holds up a magnetic carrot which attracts steel rabbits. Bunsen can throw the carrot to have the rabbits deal 7-9 damage on opponents, with 5-6 damage on hit with the carrot. Opponents or Bunsen can eat the carrot to take on the Metal effect- although Magnetic Carrots will be attracted and home onto metal opponents.
Elevator Shoes
Bunsen has his assistant, Beaker, wear Elevator Shoes to enlarge his height and then can climb him like a ladder or throw him to extend a ledge. Opponents can be hit by a thrown Beaker, being dealt 8 damage and getting Buried. Gorilla Detector
Bunsen puts down a Gorilla Detector as a gorilla walks onto the stage, before suddenly rampaging the nearest opponent, dealing massive 12-16 damage onto them. The gorilla only sticks around if there is an active Gorilla Detector- if the Gorilla Detector goes off, it will vanish soon afterwards. Opponents can destroy the Gorilla Detector to deter the gorilla away.
Beaker Block
/
Bunsen uses Beaker as a Muppet shield, able to take up to 45 damage before Beaker explodes to deal 20 damage to Bunsen and 20-8 damage to nearby opponents. If Bunsen rolls away, Beaker will be stuck in place for a moment to take damage but Bunsen will be able to get away, allowing him to use Beaker as a bomb. Using Copying Machine, Bunsen can use clones of Beaker to expend them. If he runs out of Beakers, his recovery move Elevator Shoes will be useless. Electric Nosewarmer
/
Bunsen wraps a warming coil around Beaker's nose, which Beaker begins to smoke from the face and touching Beaker will create an electric Shock that deals 10 damage on contact. He can keep this active for about 7 seconds before it burns out, with a 5 second cooldown. This makes a Beaker into a electric trap.
Finishers
Copying Machine
Level 1
Bunsen puts Beaker into the Copying Machine, giving him 5 new Beakers to work with. These 5 new Beakers can be used in Beaker Block, Electric Nosewarmer, and Elevator Shoes. Bunsen won't be able to use this move again until he has 1 Beaker or less to work with. Each Beaker has a total of 45 health that can be used up by Beaker Block.
Mood Meals
Level 2
Bunsen creates either a biscotti that heals for 30 hit points or chimichanga that inflicts the Jokerification effect. He can either throw the food to the ground or immediately eat it for an effect. When Bunsen is jokerized,
Bunsonium
Level 3
Bunsen creates chemical mixtures, before forming the element he calls Bunsonium. Bunsonium then will explode, making everyone shrink- including all of Bunsen's Beaker clones and deals Poison to all shrunken opponents, although curiously Beaker is immune to this effect. Opponents stay Mini for 20 seconds.

Effects

Characters can undergo transformations when special effects are placed under them.
Makai Spell
Dr. Bunsen and Beaker become their Muppet Babies forms.
Heaven Spell
Midnight Bliss
Dr. Bunsen and Beaker take on femme appearances, with Dr. Bunsen wearing a full face mask to hide her baldness and Beaker having longer, frayed hair.
Incubus Delight
Dr. Bunsen and Beaker become covered in chemical backlash, a familiar sight to those who know their antics.
Jokerified
Dr. Bunsen transforms into an evil alter ego, donning a mask similar to the Phantom from Phantom of the Opera, similar to his uncle Baron Petri von Honeydew during the events of Muppet Monster Adventure. When he uses a special attack, he instead launches a fireball that deals 12 damage and inflicts Burn. Additionally, he radiates evil energy that can Jokerify his fellow opponents if they stand around him. This effect lasts 6 seconds normally, but if he bit into a chimichanga from his Finisher Mood Meals, then he gets to stay in this form for 20 seconds.
Power Drain
When Dr. Bunsen is caught by Rogue, he is kissed on the lips, much to his displeasement.
Rogue gains Germ Enlarger as a replacement for her neutral special Photon Blast, allowing her to zap the air to enlarge germs to attack foes. She also gains a defense bonus, boosting her defense by 1.3x for six seconds.
Talent
When The Monstars rob the talent of Dr. Bunsen, they gain Magnetic Carrots to replace their side special, Intercept. This allows them to toss Magnetic Carrots to foes, getting a swarm of steel bunnies to attack them. They can also eat them to become metal.
The active Monstar gains Dr. Bunsen's labcoat and glasses as a physical attribute.
Insight
Dr. Bunsen's secret is revealed.

His relationship with Beaker is less than professional behind the scenes.

Testimony
Saul Goodman gives a testimony for his client.
Your honor, my client didn't know his patent for the Electric Sledgehammer would cause it to seek out weak, scrawny lil nerds like the witnesses allege. Besides, it's for science! Your honor, you're getting in the way of progress!
Torture
When Dr. Bunsen is caught by Posion, Poison appears to do nothing after whipping Dr. Bunsen before his clothes explode, dealing 45 damage.
R-Action
When Ralsei encounters Dr. Bunsen and Beaker, he puts on a labcoat and goggles, offering a chemical of his own creation- which immediately backfires and deals explosive damage, inflicting 14 damage and hard knockback.
Interactions
Very specific characters have unique interactions that happen with other characters if they are in the same match.

Aura Blackquill
Aura and Bunsen have a unique opening dialouge against each other.

Aura: Don't you find it a bit odd to use a live subject as opposed to a mechanical one for your experiments and abuse?

Dr. Bunsen: Hm? Abuse? No, no, what you're seeing is the scientific method.

Aura: ...is your degree even real? That sticker of authenticity looks like a banana sticke-

Dr. Bunsen: I'll invite you to stop talking for a while.
